PLN agrees on prices of gas supply from Amerada, Santos

State-owned electricity firm PT PLN has agreed on the price of gas supply from Amerada Hess-operated Pangkah PSC and Santos Limited-operated Sampang PSC, both of which are located in East Java, a government official said Wednesday.
PLN would buy gas supply from Amerada at the price of US$2.38 per million British thermal unit (MMBTU), while gas from Santos would be priced at US$2.4 per MMBTU, said deputy chairman of BP Migas, Kardaya Warnika.
Kardaya said that PLN has agreed to buy 100 million cubic feet per day each of gas supply from the producers to fuel its power plants in East Java province for up to 20-year period starting 2005.
Amerada's gas supply will be sourced from the UjungPangkah gas field, while Santos' gas would be taken from the Oyong field. (godang)
