PLN aims to complete Java-Bali power line in 2019

State-owned electricity PT PLN hopes to be able to complete construction of the planned Java-Bali power transmission line in 2019 to help increase power supply in the popular resort island of Bali, Investor Daily reported on Thursday.
?The target (for completion of the project) remains in 2019,? said PLN Business Director for East Java and Bali region, Amin Subekti.
He said that PLN is currently making preparations including funding for the project, with estimated investment of US$410 million.
The planned 500 kV power transmission line project will see the construction of 326-meter towers, claimed by Amin to be tallest in the world. (*)
