CENTRAL JAVA COAL-FIRED BOOT POWER PROJECT
ANNOUNCEMENT OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
Following the result of prequalification of bidders for the Central Java IPP Project completed on November 16, 2009, PT PLN (Persero)(?PLN?), an electric utility company owned by the State of the Republic of Indonesia, officially launch a Request for Proposal (RFP) to the pre-qualified bidders (listed alphabetically):
1. China Shenhua Energy Company Limited
2. CNTIC ? Guandong Yudean Consortium
3. GDF Suez - J Power Consortium
4. Korea Electric Power Company (KEPCO)
5. Marubeni Corporation
6. Mitsubishi Corporation
7. Mitsui-International Power Consortium
The RFP Document is available and can be collected between March 1 - 10, 2010, upon a non-refundable payment of USS 5,000.00 by each pre-qualified Lead Members.
Central Java IPP is a coal-fired PP project to be located around Pemalang in Central Java Province. The Project will utilize supercritical boiler or ultra-supercritical boiler technology and have an installed capacity of up to 2,000 MW. The selected IPP will enter into a twenty-five (25) year Power Purchase Agreement with PLN. The selected IPP will develop, finance, construct and operate the Project on a Build-Own-Operate-Transfer (BOOT) basis; and finance and construct the associated 500 kV transmission line and substation, which will be transferred to PLN as a special facility.
Bid date is expected by August 2010. The Project is to start commercial operation by late 2014.
