PLN announces tender for coal supply of 5mtpa

State-owned electricity firm PT PLN announced Friday PQ tender for the supply of an estimated 5 million tons per annum of coal for its power plants in Java.
The company said in a tender announcement that the supply contract will be valid for five years, and can be extended three times every five years, under a Free on Board purchasing arrangement.
Miners interested in participating in the PQ tender can obtain the necessary documents at PLN?s headquarters building on Jl. Trunojoyo Blok M I/135, Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta, on July 21-25.
PLN said that eligible bidders must meet a number of requirements including having valid PKP2B (coal contract of works) or IUP mining permits with ?clean and clear? status, and have minimum coal reserves of 4 million tons with the following specifications: gross calorific value of 4,000-5,000 kcal/kg (ar), maximum total moisture level of 35 percent, maximum total sulfur of 0.35 percent, and maximum as content of 6 percent.
