PLN assures it would be able to absorb gas from Terang Sirasun field

State-owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) expects to be able to absorb at least 130 bbtud of gas from the Terang Sirasun gas field at the Pagerungan block in East Java until 2022.

This was said by PLN Head of Gas and Fuel Division, Suryadi Mardjoeki to Petromindo.com Tuesday in response to rumors that the power company would only be able to absorb the gas at the planned volume.

?The rumors are not true,? he said, suspecting that the rumors were created by traders. He said that PLN would acquire the gas directly from Kangean Energy Indonesia, the operator of the block, not from traders.
