PLN Batam awards G/Electric contract to Intergraph SEA

Intergraph Systems South East Asia, an exclusive representative of US-based Intergraph Corporation announced Thursday that PT. PLN Batam signed a contract for the supply, implementation, and deployment of an electric facility management system based on Intergraph's G/Electric solution, an enabling technology for integrated Geospatial Resource Management (GRM).

PT. PLN Batam is a subsidiary of PT. PLN (Persero), Indonesia's national electric company, serving 85,000 customers on the island of Batam, about 20 km from Singapore. The utility's customer base is expanding rapidly and is expected to grow approximately ten percent annually.

The turnkey system includes the creation of a landbase using IKONOS imagery, field survey of the facility network and customer premises, and configuration of the G/Electric environment to create a repository of network assets that will enhance PLN's engineering and operational workflows.
