PLN Batam handles 39 prospective investors

State electricity company's PT PLN's Batam branch is ready to supply electricity to 39 new prospective investors that have submitted their preliminary proposals to PLN for more electricity supplies.

The head of PT PLN's Batam branch, Ali Herman Ibrahim, said at least 39 new investors had submitted their preliminary proposals to PLN Batam. Besides asking for assurance of more electricity supplies, they also expressed concerns about possible lack of power supplies from PLN.

But Ali said that such a case would serve as a challenge for PLN to become a good service provider.

"This is a challenge for us to improve our services to our customers, especially to new investors," Ali said. (*)
