PLN Batam launches open tender for medium-term coal supply

PT PLN Batam has announced an open tender for the medium-term procurement of coal to supply its Tanjung Kasam (Ext) coal-fired power plant (PLTU).

In a notice dated February 12, 2026, the utility said the tender — numbered 0005.Pm/DAN.00.01/PLNBATAM040300/2026 — will be conducted under a one-stage, one-envelope prequalification system.

The procurement committee, based at PLN Batam’s headquarters on Jl. Engku Putri No. 3, Batam Centre, is inviting qualified suppliers to participate in the “Medium-Term Coal Procurement for PLTU Tanjung Kasam.

Prospective bidders must register via email to procman.plnb@gmail.com and lakdan.korporat@plnbatam.com.

• Registration period: February 3–24, 2026 (until 16:00 WIB during working hours), including submission of proof of transfer.

• Submission of qualification documents: February 5–25, 2026 (until 10:00 WIB).

Only bidders whose registration has been verified will be required to pay a tender fee of Rp20 million. The account number will be provided after verification. Proof of payment must be emailed to the procurement committee; failure to do so will result in disqualification.

PLN Batam requires participating companies to:

• Register through the designated email addresses.

• Not be involved in delivery disputes, sanctions, or legal cases.

• Have no overlapping management or ownership with other bidders.

• Hold valid coal transportation and sales permits (IUP-OP/PKP2B/IUPK-OP/IUP-OPK).

• Possess a valid Business Entity Certificate in accordance with prevailing regulations.

• Submit a Personal Data Processing Approval Form (for non-individual entities).

• Provide a bidder’s declaration letter.

• Maximize the use of domestic products and services in line with Indonesia’s local content (TKDN) requirements.
