PLN Batam opens tenders to build 120-MW power plant

PT.Pelayanan Listrik Nasional Batam (PLN Batam), a unit of state electricity firm PLN, on Friday invited investors to participate in a tender to develop 120-MW combined cycle power plant in Batam industrial island under Independent Power Producer (IPP) scheme.

The company said it would purchase electricity generated by the IPP.

The company said eligible participants must have capability and experience in EPC of power plant with minimum capacity of 100-MW, having experience in operations and maintenance of existing power and having sound financial capability. It also said it preferred participants which have secured gas sales agreement with gas supplier with gas-in schedule starting Q4 2011.

PQ document would be available from November 7-12, 2008 at PT.PLN

PQ registration would be opened from November 7-12 at PT.PLN Batam, Gedung PT.PLN Batam Lantai 4, Jl. Engku Putri 03, Batam Center, Batam-29431.

PQ documents submission would be closed November 19, 2008. (alex)
