PLN Batam re-tenders power plant project

PT Pelayanan Listrik Nasional Batam (PLN Batam), a unit of state electricity firm PLN that runs operations in Batam island announced on Wednesday re-tender of 2x25-35MW gas-fired power plant project to be located in the island after the previous tender was declared failed.

The Company said it was now looking for interested bidders which would build the power plant under Independent Power Producer (IPP) scheme.

Bidders should have experience in power plants EPC, operation and maintenance with minimum capacity of 25MW, the Company said, adding that bidders must also have secured gas supply for the proposed power plant.

Interested bidders could obtain bid documents from March 24-26, 2010 at : PT PLN Batam office, Gedung PT PLN Batam Fourth Floor, Jl. Engku Putri No.3, Batam Center, Batam-29431.

Bid submission dead line is set on April 9, 2010. (alex)
