PLN Batam signs electricity deal with NeutraDC Nxera

PT PLN Batam has entered into an Electricity Purchase Agreement  with PT Teknologi Data Infrastruktur (NeutraDC Nxera Batam) to supply electricity to the Diamond Data Center located in Kabil Industrial Estate, Batam. The agreement, signed on Friday, October 3, 2025, will see PLN Batam provide medium-voltage premium electricity service to the data center, with a total capacity of up to 90 megavolt amperes (MVA) from 2025 to 2028.

The five-year agreement, renewable after the initial term, emphasizes the supply of stable, safe, and high-standard electricity to meet the growing energy needs of the fast-expanding data center industry in Batam.

Kwin Fo, President Director of PLN Batam, expressed the company's commitment to ensuring reliable electricity infrastructure to support the growth of PT Teknologi Data Infrastruktur. “Through premium services, we ensure the energy needs of data center customers are met according to global standards,” Kwin said. He also highlighted the role of PLN Batam in supplying sustainable electricity to the data center industry, which is experiencing significant growth driven by e-commerce, e-learning, e-government, social media, and cloud applications.

Indrama Yusuf Muda Purba, President Director of PT Teknologi Data Infrastructure, praised the collaboration with PLN Batam, calling it a critical step in strengthening Batam's data center ecosystem. “With the support of premium electricity services, we are optimistic that we can operate with high reliability standards to serve both national and international markets,” Indrama noted. He added that the success of data center projects depends not only on physical infrastructure but also on building synergies with energy providers like PLN Batam to ensure operational sustainability.
