PLN books H1 net profit of Rp 6.25 trillion

State electricity firm PLN booked a net profit of RP.6.25 trillion (US$ = Rp. 9,400) in the first half of 2009 versus a loss of Rp.1.94 trillion in the same period a year ago.
The profit was mainly contributed by the decrease of fuel costs to Rp. 34.3 trillion from Rp. 51.3 a year earlier.
Revenue increased to Rp.43 trillion from Rp40.9 trillion while subsidy received sharply decreased to Rp.24.7 trillion from Rp. 36 trillion earlier.(denny)
