PLN books Rp180.1 billion net income in 2001

State electricity company PLN said on Monday it had booked net income of Rp 180.119 billion (US$=Rp9277) in 2001 after incurring net losses of some 24.6 trillion in the previous year.
The company?s pre-tax income was about Rp749.5 billion in 2001, its financial director Parno Isworo said.
Parno said the firm?s long-term obligations amounted to some Rp32.9 trillion in 2001, down from Rp34.2 trillion in the previous year.
Meanwhile, PLN?s short-term obligations amounted to Rp24.2 billion in 2001, compared with Rp21.3 billion in 2000. (Godang/Leo)
