PLN, BPMIGAS sign MoU on E. Kalimantan gas supply

State electricity firm PLN on Saturday signed an MoU with upstream oil and gas authority BPMIGAS on the possibility to supply gas tpo PLN?s proposed 150 MW gas-fired power plant in East Kalimantan, BPMIGAS said in a release.
Under the MoU, BPMIGAS will study the possibility to source gas from production sharing contractors that are operating in East Kalimantan.
East Kalimantan gas producers that are already in operations are Total SA, Chevron, VICO Indonesia and Medco.
Should gas source is available, power plant is slated to commence operations in 2007 .(alex)
