PLN builds 6 MW diesel-fired power plant in Aceh

State-owned electricity company PT PLN started on Thursday construction of a 6 MW diesel-fired power plant in Cok Abeuk, Suka Karya District, Sabang Regency, Aceh, which is expected to be completed in September of this year.
Tribunnews.com quoted Manager of PLN?s Sabang office, M. Haiqal as saying that the additional electricity supply is needed to meet growing demand particularly with the entry of new investors in the to the region.
He added that in 2017, new 4 MW gas engine power plant will be developed in Jaboi, Suka Karya District. (*)
