PLN calls for bids to supply coal to Suralaya, Indramayu power plants

State electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) on Friday announced a tender to supply coal for its Labuan, Suralaya Baru and Indramayu power plants in Banten and West Java, respectively.

PLN invited coal contract of work (CCoW) or PKP2B, KP/IUP holders to participate in the spot tender. It requires the coal companies have not current contract with Labuan, Suralaya Baru and Indramayu power plants.

Bidders should also have track record to supply coal to PLN or PLN?s subsidiaries for 2009-2010 period.

Bidders should offer the price on CIF basis, excluding governmnet?s royality

PLN said that the coal should have a CV of between 4,250 kcal/kg to 4,700 kcal/kg (GAR), a total moisture (TM) of ≤ 35%, Ash ≤ 6% (Ar), sulphuric content of ≤ 0.35 % (Ar)

Bid documents can be obtained at PLN's head office on Jl. Trunojoyo Blok M 1/135, Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta 12160 from Aug. 6-11 with deadline for bid submission set for Aug. 11, 2010. (denny)
