The National Police will deliver the legal documents regarding Eddie Widiono, president director of state electricity company PLN, to the Attorney General?s Office (AGO) next week. The Jakarta Post reported on Wednesday.
National Police spokesman Comr. Gen. Anton Bachrul Alam said Tuesday that the police had completed 90 percent of the file.
Eddie has been detained since early May as a suspect in a Rp 122 billion (about US$13.8 million) graft case regarding the purchase of a gas power plant in Borang, South Sumatra.
Beside Eddie, there were initially three other suspects. They were Ali Herman Ibrahim, director for plant and primary energy; Agus Darnadi, deputy director for plant and primary energy; and Johanes Kennedy Aritonang, who worked for a company partnering with PLN.
The three were released after the police and AGO failed to produce sufficient evidence of their involvement.(*)
