State-owned electricity company PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) complained that the CBM gas volume received from VICO?s Sanga-Sanga field in East Kalimantan has been lower than the contractual agreement.

PLN Head of Fuel and Gas Division Suryadi Mardjoeki told Petromindo.com on Monday that the company has only received CBM gas volume of 0.1 mmscfd, lower than the contractual agreement of 0.5 mmscfd.

Suryadi feared that because of the lower gas volume, PLN may be imposed with a kit rental penalty.

Responding to the complain, Deputy for Operational Control at upstream oil and gas authority SKK Migas, Muliawan told Petromindo.com that the Sanga-Sanga field is still undergoing a dewatering process, resulting in the low gas supply. ?VICO?s CBM gas production is still low because it?s still at the stage of dewatering,? he said, while adding it?s difficult to predict as to when the dewatering process would be completed.
