PLN completes construction of gas engine power plant in Riau

State-owned electricity firm PT PLN said it has completed construction of the Rawa Minyak 25 MW gas engine power plant in Siak, Riau.
PLN said in a statement Sunday that trial production of the Rawa Minyak plant has also been completed, and the plant is ready to increase power supply in the Riau power system.
The company, which teams up with state-controlled engineering and construction firm PT Wijaya Karya Tbk in the construction power plant project, said that the power plant will start supplying 6 MW of power to the Siak region, and will gradually increase the supply.
Elsewhere, PLN said it is currently in the phase of testing the Tenayanraya 2x100 MW coal-fired power plant in Pekanbaru, Riau.
