PLN completes new power plant in S. Sulawesi

State-owned electricity firm PT PLN said it has completed construction of the first unit of the 2x100 MW PLTU Punagaya coal-fired power plant in Jeneponto Regency, South Sulawesi Province, a local report said on Friday.
PLN General Manager for South, Southeast and West Sulawesi Region, Bob Syaril was quoted by news portal kabarmakassar.com as saying that inauguration of the first unit of the PLTU Punagaya is scheduled to be held on November 28 to mark its official operation.
He added that the second unit is expected to start operation in February of next year. (*)
