PLN completes reconditioning of aging power substation

State-owned electricity firm PT PLN has completed reconditioning of the 38-year old Pulogadung power substation in East Jakarta, by installing a new modern gas insulated switchgear (GIS) with capacity of 6x60 MVA, and six transmission bays.
PLN Director of Business for Western Java Region, Haryanto WS said that the new substation facility has already been in operation to support increasing power demand in Jakarta.
The Rp 109 billion project was developed by a consortium of PT General Electric and PT Pencie Indonesia, with construction started in 2016, and completed in April 2017.
