PLN delays again signing of EPC contracts for coal-fired power plants project
Thursday, March 1 2007 - 02:06 AM WIB
The signing was previously postponed twice -- on January 31 and February 28 -- with the same reason.
The head of the 600-700 MW power plants tender committee Chairuddin Matondang has confirmed about the postponement.
?The contract was not signed yet. We also do not know yet until what date it was postponed,? Chairuddin said on Wednesday in Jakarta.
The six projects were won by four investors -- China National Technical Import & Export Corp. (1x600 MW Suralaya power plant), Harbin Power Engineering (1x600 Paiton), consortium China National Machinery Industry Corp. (3x300 MW Indramayu as well as 2x300 MW Tanjung Awar-Awar) and consortium Chengda Engineering Corporation (2x300 MW Labuhan) . There is one investor from Malaysia, Zelan, who deals with 2x300 Rembang coal-fired power plant. (*)
