PLN delays signing of two coal fired power plant projects

State electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) said that the signing of two coal fired power plant project, which is scheduled for next Tuesday, will be delayed.

Ali Herman Ibrahim, PLN's director for power plants and premier energy said in Jakarta Friday that the signing of the contracts for the construction of the Tanjung Awar Awar and Rembang remained uncertain because the companies winning the projects still had not reached a deal with the investor.

Meanwhile, contracts for the construction of the Paiton, Suralaya, Labuhan and Indramayu power plant projects will be signed as scheduled on Tuesday after a delay of almost two months. (*)
