State-owned electricity firm PT. Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) expects extra gas supply of 6 mmscfd from JTA-122 well in Tarakan field, East Kalimantan, once the current work over of the well has been completed.

The work over is being implemented following a gas blowout incident at the well last week. ?Once the work over is completed, there will be additional gas supply,? said PLN Head of Fuel and Gas Division, Suryadi Mardjoeki told Petromindo.com Thursday.

He added that the company also expected to get gas supply of 5 mmscfd in December of this year from PT Manhattan Kalimantan Investama to be supplied to its Tarakan gas fired power plant.

The PLN Tarakan has been receiving 5.5-6 mmscfd of gas from PT Pertamina EP?s Bunyu field.
