State electricity company PT PLN is currently finalizing the power purchase agreement (PPA) for Rantau Dadap geothermal power plant with PT Supreme Energy, the developer of the power plant.

Nur Pamudji, President Director of PLN, told Petromindo.com that there are about 53 clauses that are being negotiated with Supreme. ?We hope the negotiation on the PPA will be completed next month.?

Ismoyo Argo, Head of Business Relation of Supreme Energy, confirmed that Supreme Energy is negotiating the PPA with PLN.

Rantau Dadap geothermal power plant (PLTA), located in Muara Enim, South Sumatera, is comprised of two units with generating capacity of 110 MW each.

?Based on earlier relevant agreement, the price of electricity was set at 8.86 cent US dollar per kWh,? Ismoyo told Petromindo.com. The final price will be set in the PPA.

PLTA Rantau Dadap is the third geothermal power plant to be developed by Supreme Energy. The other two are PLTP Muara Laboh in West Sumatera and PLTP Rajabasa in Lampung. On Friday, Supreme Energy secured Guarantee Letter from the government that will pave the way for the development of the two geothermal power plants.
