PLN holds PQ tender for W. Kalimantan EPCC projects

State electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) announced Monday the start of pre-qualification (PQ) phase for engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) tender to build West Kalimantan coal-fired power plants with combined capacity 26 MW.

The coal-fired power plants are Ketapang with capacity 2 x 10 MW in Delta Pawan sub-district, Ketapang regency and Nangapinoh with capacity 2 x 3 MW in Nangapinoh sub-district, Melawi regency.

PLN?s West Kalimantan branch said it was looking for experienced contractors or consortia to build the power plant and each of them must have an experience of buildling at least one power plant with a minimum capacity of 3 MW per unit in the last ten years.

The tender is open to local firms and foreign firms which partner with locals.

In partnership with foreign firms, the national company should have at least 30 percent of ownership and to become an operator in the partnership

Interested bidders could obtain the document from July 20-27, 2010 at PT PLN (Persero) Wilayah Kalimantan Barat. Jl Adisucipto Km. 7.3 Sei Raya, Pontianak, Kalimantan Barat. The bid document should be submitted on Aug. 4, 2010 at the latest.(denny)
