PLN inaugurates Cirata solar power plant

State-owned electric company PT PLN inaugurated on Thursday the operation of the Cirata PLTS solar power plant with capacity of 1 MW in Purwakarta, West Java.

Nasri Sebayang, Director of PLN, stated that the PLTS Cirata is located in the PLTA Cirata hydro power plant complex and part of the company?s Green Energy Campus, which would later become the center for solar power plant research and development.

Acting President Director of PLN subsidiary Pembangkit Jawa Bali, which operates the Cirata PLTS, Muljo Adji added that total investment for the project, located on a 1.5-hectare land, is Rp 28 billion, completed in 10 months.
