State-owned electricity firm PT PLN inaugurated on Tuesday the operation of the Nonohanis 20 MVA relay station and 70 kV power lines in Soe, Timor Tengah Selatan regency, East Nusa Tenggara province.

Lintasntt.com said that the new infrastructure facilities increase power supply reliability in the regency as electricity produced in Kupang can be transmitted to the region, which in turn would help accelerate local economic growth.

PLN has previously operated the Undana relay station in Kupang, and is currently developing another relay station and power lines in Belu regency, East Nusa Tenggara. (*)
