PLN Indonesia Power inaugurates N. Kalimantan gas power plant

Power generation firm PT PLN Indonesia Power has officially inaugurated the 20 megawatt (MW) Tanjung Selor gas-fired power plant to strengthen electricity supply reliability in North Kalimantan.

The commissioning of the 1 x 20 MW plant marks a key milestone in reinforcing the regional power system, supporting rising electricity demand from households, public services, and local economic activities in Indonesia’s border region. The plant is designed to operate reliably and responsively, providing additional capacity during peak load periods.
