State owned utility firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) has agreed to deliver high voltage power supply to steel maker PT Krakatau Posco.
The supply amounts to 165 mega volt ampere (MVA) under the so-called Premium Service, a business-to-business model being developed by PLN to serve its top clients.
?This is the biggest deal ever signed by PLN (under this scheme),? said Director of Planning and Risk Management at PLN Murtaqi Syamsuddin on Friday. The price is set at Rp 810 per kWh.
The power supply will be divided into three stages. Krakatau Posco will receive the first supply of 80 MVA in November, which will be increased to 100 MVA in July 2012. The full 165 MVA supply will be fully delivered to the company?s installation in January 2014.
