PLN installs diesel power station in Karimunjawa

The power station, called PLTD Legon Bajak, was installed in Kemujan village, Karimun Jawa district, Jepara regency, PLN said in a statement on Tuesday.
The firm said the new power station replaced the 700 kV diesel power station operated in the area by the local government.
The diesel power station was inaugurated by Central Java?s Governor Ganjar Pranowo and PLN?s Business Director for Central Java region Nasri Sebayang.
?Karimunjawa consists of 27 island and is projected to become a growth area. Karimunjawa is very promising as a tourist destination. Because of it, PLN, the government and all related agencies are very much supportive of the development of the potentials,? Nasri said, adding that thanks to the new power station, gradually, all areas in Karimunjawa will receive electricity supply round the clock.
