PLN installs new transformer in Cianjur, Garut

State-owned electricity company PT PLN said in a statement Sunday that it had in February of this year installed a 60 MVA transformer each at relay station in Cianjur and Garut, both in West Java, to help increase power supply reliability in the two regions.
PLN Senior Manager for Public Relations Agung Murdifi said in a statement that the new transformer adds to the existing three transformers in the respective region.
The number of PLN electricity customers in Cianjur as per end March 2016 reached about 550,000, with peak load of 117 MW in the evening, and 78 MW in daytime. Meanwhile, the number of customers in Garut reached 539, with peak load of 58 MW in night time, and 41 MW in daytime. Customers in both regions are dominated by households.
