PLN installs new transformer into Lubuk Linggau substation

Public utility PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) (PLN) has installed another transformer with a capacity of 60 MVA into the Lubuk Linggau substation in Petanang village, Lubuk Linggau Barat district, South Sumatra province.
Including the new equipment, which started operation on April 9, 2016, the substation now has three transformers with a combined capacity of 150 MVA. The other transformers have 30 MVA and 60 MVA capacity respectively, PLN said in a statement on Monday.
The new transformer will strengthen the reliability of the substation. In case one transformer is broken, the substation can still operate well with two transformers, PLN said.
The substation distribute power to Lubuk Linggau city, Musi Rawas Utara regency and Musi Rawas regency.
