INVITATION TO PRE-QUALIFICATION
KERAMASAN POWER PLANT EXTENSION PROJECT
Construction of 80MW Gas Fired Combined Cycle Power Plant (2x1-1-1)
JBIC LOAN No. IP-527
1. The Government of Indonesia (GOI) through its executing agency ?PT PLN (Persero)? has received a loan under the Official Development Assistance (ODA) from Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) toward the cost of the captioned project
2. PT PLN (Persero) invites sealed application for pre-qualification from eligible bidders for the design, supply, transportation, construction, installation, testing and commissioning of the complete combined cycle power plant under the following Contract Package:
Keramasan Power Plant Extension Project 80MW (2x1-1-1), Palembang, South Sumatera
3. Pre-qualification is open to firms and voluntarily formed joint ventures and consortia from eligible nationals who have experience of successfully completed (two) 2 EPC contracts for Combined Cycle Power Plant of more than 80MW within the last ten (10) years. At least one (1) reference plant unit shall be installed in South East Asia, outside of his domicile country. The plant shall be in operation for at least two (2) years with a minimum of 7,500 hours or have a yearly availability factor of chore than 80%.
4. The request must clearly state ?Request for Pre-qualification Documents for Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) of the Keramasan Power Plant Extension Project, JBIC Loan No. IP-527?. The documents are available for a nonrefundable fee of Indonesian Rupiah Five Million (Rp.5.000.000) and Applicants may obtain the prequalification documents from the address below from Thursday August 21, 2008 within office hours.

5. Submissions of Applications for Pre-qualification, in one (1) original and two (2) copies, must be received in sealed envelopes or packages, either delivered by hand or by registered mail to the address below not later than Monday, 13 October 2008, 2:00 p.m. (Western Indonesian Time) and be clearly marked ?Application to Pre-qualify for Keramasan Power Plant Extension Project, JBIC Loan No. IP-527?.
6. Applicants will be advised, in due course, of the results of their applications. Only firms and joint Ventures and Consortia pre-qualified under this procedure will be invited to bid.
7. It is expected that Invitations to Bid will be made in November 15, 2008.
