PLN: Invitation for re-prequalification for the Semarang power plant rehabilitation and gasification project

The Government of Indonesia (GOI) with PT PLN (Persero) as its executing agency has received an ODA Loan No. IP-516 from JBIC (Japan Bank for International Cooperation) towards the cost of the Semarang Power Plant Rehabilitation and Gasification Project hereinafter referred to as the Project. The Project Site is located at Tanjung Mas harbour area, Semarang, Indonesia.

PT PLN (Persero) intends to Re-Prequalify Applicant(s) for a turnkey EPC-Contract for this Project. The Works under this Project comprise engineering design, manufacturing, procurement, commissioning, project management for rehabilitation, gasification, and up-rating Semarang Steam Power Plant which consist of:

- Rehabilitation and Gasification of the Unit No. 3 (1x200 MW) of Semarang Power Plant consisting of boiler rehabilitation, turbine system rehabilitation, generator rehabilitation, and control system renovation
- Works on up-rating of the unit output capacity of the Unit No. 3 to 212MW (Economical Continous Rate)

Re-Prequalification is open to a firm or in the form of a Joint Venture/Joint Operation/Consortium. Applicants that have been prequalified will be requested to prepare and submit a proposal for the Contract. A qualified firm or a qualified Joint Venture/Joint Operation/Consortium shall participate in only one Proposal for the Contract.

Applicants may obtain the Re-Prequalification Document, at the address indicated below between 09.00-15.00 Western Indonesia Time, starting from January 16, 2007, upon cash payment of a non refundable fee of Three Million Rupiah (Rp 3.000.000,-):

Submission of Application for Re-Prequalification must be received in sealed envelopes, delivered by hand to the above mentioned address not later than February 16,2007, at 16:00 Western Indonesia lime, and clearly marked ?Application to Re-Prequalification for the Semarang Power Plant Rehabilitation and Gasification Project?.
