PLN: Invitation to bid JBIC export credit line for power sector in Indonesia

The Government of Indonesia (GOI) received a loan from Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) of Export Credit Line towards the cost of the Power Sector, in Indonesia. Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named below.

Bidding is open to bidders from Japanese companies or consortium /joint operation/joint ventures led by Japanese companies and the country of origin of the supplied equipment and/or services shall be primarily Japanese manufacture or origin including a certain amount of third countries.

PT PLN (Persero) (the Employer) invites to submit a sealed bids from eligible bidders for the design, manufacturing, supply, transportation, construction, installation, project management for rehabilitation, testing and commissioning of the following Contract Package:

Rehabilitation of Suralaya Steam Power Plant Unit 1- 4 (4 x 400 MW)
- Lot 1: Boiler Unit 1 & 2
- Lot 2: Steam Turbine Generator Unit 1 & 2

Is located in Merak of Banten Province, Indonesia

Bidder shall submit the bid covering the complete scope and shall demonstrate the technical capability and experience of rehabilitating for minimum capacity of 400 MW Coal Steam Power Plant. Bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents, at the address below.

To purchase each lot the bidding documents, bidders should:

? collect the documents from the address below from January 24,2007
? pay a non-refundable fee of five million Rupiah (Rp. 5,000,000)

Bidders should deliver each lot of the technical and price proposals:

-Lot 1: 15:00 p.m. WIST on February 26, 2007
-Lot 2: 15:00 p.m. WIST on February 27, 2007
? together with a Bid Security of USD 1 .000.000 which must be included with the technical proposal.

The technical proposal will be opened immediately after the deadline in the presence of Bidders representatives who assigned to attend. The price proposal will be opened in the presence of bidders representatives who assigned to attend at the venue, time and dates as indicated in employer?s invitation for the second stage bid opening.
