PLN, Kepco may cooperate on CNG marine vessel

State owned utility firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) has received an offer from Korea Electric Power Company (Kepco) to jointly work on compressed natural gas (CNG) Marine vessel to transport gas from East Java to West Java, said an executive.
?Kepco is offering a cooperation to develop CNG Marine vessel with the capacity of 50 mmscf. This will be used to transport the gas from Gresik, East Java, to Muara Tawar gas-fired power plant in Bekasi, West Java,? PLN Head of Oil and Gas Fuel Division Suryadi Mardjoeki told Petromindo.com.
Suryadi added that talks are underway between the two companies, including on the possible source of gas for the cooperation.
