PLN launches e-procurement to reduce tender costs

State-owned electricity company PT PLN has launched its web-based procurement system or e-procurement to accommodate the procurement and tender activities of the company's all units in the country, Investor Daily reported on Saturday.

"Through this system, the management will be able to carry out its control and supervision tasks more effectively so that the decision process would be much faster and more accurate," PLN's president Eddie Widiono said at the launch of the e-procurement system in Jakarta Friday.
