?If the bidding price offered by the China?s contractors is exceptionally high, above the total loan to be used for financing the construction of the Parit Baru coal-fired power plant, then we will surely retender it,? said PLN?s deputy director for primary energy Tony Agus Mulyantono in Jakarta Wednesday.
He said that the retender would most probably be carried out next month to catch up the development target so that the loan can be utilized and managed.
The construction of the Parit Baru coal-fired power plant will be financed by government loan amounting to around US$93.5 million secured from the government of China under G to G scheme.
The four Chinese contractors are short-listed as qualified by the Government of the People?s Republic of China, namely Dongfang Electric Corporations, China National Technical Import & Export Corporation (CNTIC), China International Trust and Investment Company (CITIC) and China national Machinery Import and Export Corporation (CMC), have submitted bid document for the construction of Parit Baru coal-fired power plant project, with bid price at US$1.4 million per megawatt.
Tony acknowledged that the four Chinese bidders had submitted the bidding price for the tender of the Parit Baru coal-fired power plant construction project. ?The bidding price is subject to evaluation and a decision on who will be the winning bidder has yet to be made,? he said. (*)
