PLN, LPDP-KUMKM cooperate on bioenergy

State owned electricity company PT. Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) and the Institution for the Management of Revolving Funds for Cooperatives and Small and Medium Businesses (LPDB-KUMKM) have agreed to jointly develop infrastructure facilities for the development of bioenergy and renewable energy in Indonesia.

The memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the cooperation was signed in Jakarta on Thursday by PLN president director Nur Pamudji and the director of LPDB-KUMKM, Kemas Danial.

Under the MOU, the two organizations would cooperate in promoting the knowledge in the bioenergy and renewable energy sectors as well as in the development of infrastructure facilities for bioenergy and renewable energy.

PLN also agreed to provide technical assistance for operation and maintenance of power generators to cooperatives and small-scale companies.
