PLN names companies to supply HSD

State electricity company PT PLN has appointed PT Aneka Kimia Raya, PT Putra Andalas (PAN), Shell Indonesia and PT Patra Niaga to supply a total volume of 250,000 kiloliters of high speed diesel (HSD) fuel to meet the needs of its power plants in West Kalimantan and 150,000 kiloliters to its power plants in East Kalimantan.
The supply contracts are for a period of three years, Division Head for Fuel And Gas at PLN, M. Suryadi Mardjoeki told Petromindo.com.
?The fuel tender for East Kalimantan and West Kalimantan had been done via E-Auction,? he said, adding that the delivery of HSD to West Kalimantan will begin in May, and to East Kalimantan in November this year.
The HSD price is based on international market price, Mardjoeki said.
Mardjoeki also said that PLN plans to replace the HSD fuel consumed by its Tanjung Grati, East Java with gas starting mid this year. PLN is currently seeking up to 90 mmscfd of gas from some gas fields in East Java, including from Santos? Oyong gas field, to power the Grati plants.
