PLN names fuel supplier to Belawan power plant

State owned utility firm PT PLN has appointed PT Kutilang Mas as the winner in a tender to supply some 250,000 kl of oil fuel to combined cycled Belawan power plant in North Sumatra.
PLN Head of Oil and Gas Fuel Division M. Suryadi Mardjoeki said the winner will officially be announced next week. Among the losing tender participants is state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina.
?Kutilang Mas partners with BP Indonesia. Both will supply the fuel replacing TPPI (PT Trans Pacific Petrokimia Indonesia),? Suryadi told petromindo.com.
In 2010, TPPI won a contract to supply 300,000 kiloliters of high speed diesel per year to Belawan power plant until 2014. But the contract was terminated earlier this year.
