PLN names Maduchon Sumsel-7 mine mouth power plant developer

State electricity firm PT PLN (Persero) said on Tuesday that it has selected Indian firm Maduchon Projects Limited as winner to develop Sumsel-7 mine-mouth power plant project.

Strategic Procurement Director Bagiyo Riawan told Petromindo.Com that the appointment is in the process of being approved by the ministry of energy and mineral resources.

Maduchon said earlier this month that it has been declared as preferential bidder in a 300-MW mine mouth power plant project which will be built on build, operate and transfer (BOT) basis.

Meanwhile, Bagiyo said PLN will appoint winner for Sumsel-8 1,200 MW mine mouth power plant project next week and is still negotiating with potential developer for Sumsel-6 600 MW project.(bernard)
