PLN opens 1.62 MT coal supply tender for Asam-Asam

State electricity firm PLN (Persero) on Tuesday announced the opening of low CV coal supply PQ tender for its Asam-Asam power plant in South Kalimantan.

The Company?s South Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan unit said it requires supply of 45,000 tonnes of coal per month for three years, bringing the total volume to 1.620 million tones.

The Company said that coal CV required is between 4,300 kcal/kg to 4,700 kcal/kg (AR).

The Company said eligible bidders are miners or miners-suppliers consortia which have valid mining licenses.

Bid documents can be obtained at PLN (Persero) South Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan office at Jl. Panglima Batur Barat No.1, Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan from June 30 to July 5 with bid submission scheduled July 6-July 9, 2010.

PQ announcement will be made on July 15, 2010. (alex)
