PLN opens 3.26 MTPA coal supply tender

State electricity firm PLN on Friday announced the opening of 3.26 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) of low-rank coal supply tender for its proposed power plants located in Java, Sumatra and Kalimantan.

The company said in a tender announcement that the coal supply contracts would have duration of 20 years.

The company said eligible suppliers are producing miners which have minimum mineable reserves of 20 MT.

PLN said coal will be supplied to Teluk Naga and Pelabuhan Ratu power plants in western part of Java with CV of 4,000-4,500 kcal/kg GAR, maximum total moisture of 35% AR, maximum ash of 6% and maximum sulfur of 0.35%.

For Nagan Raya, Pesisir, Bangka, Belitung, Bengkalis and Tarahan Baru power plants in Sumatra, PLN requires coal with CV of 4,000-4,700Kcal/kg GAR, maximum total moisture of 40%, maximum ash of 6% and maximum sulfur of 2.2%.

For Pangkalan Susu, Asam-Asam, Selat Panjang and Tanjung Balai Karimun power plants, PLN requires coal with CV of 4,000-4,700Kcal/kg GAR, maximum total moisture of 35%, maximum ash of 6% and maximum sulfur of 0.35%.
