PLN opens N. Sumatra coal-fired IPP project tender

State electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN)?s branch North Sumatara office announced on Friday the start of pre-qualification (PQ) of the tender to develop a 3 x 7 MW coal-fired power plant in Gunung Sitoli, Nias, North Sumatra under Independent Power Producer (IPP) scheme.
PLN said that the winner will be given right to operate the plant for 25 years under Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) scheme.
Investors who are eligible to participate in the tender are companies or consortia, which have experience as EPC and O&M contractor for coal-fired power plant in Indonesia.
Interested bidders could obtain the document from Oct. 28- Nov 3, 2010 at PT PLN (Persero) Wilayah Sumatra Utara. Jl. K.L Yos Sudarso No. 284, Medan 20115. Attn. Panitia Pengadaan PLTU Batubara 3x7 MW (IPP) Nias.
The latest of PQ document submission is Nov. 12. (denny)
