PLN opens PQ tender for Papua IPP

State electricity firm PLN on Tuesday announced the opening of pre-qualification tender to select independent power producer (IPP) to provide electricity in the city of Jayapura in Papua.
The company said it was looking for IPP which will supply 2x10 MW of electricity generated by coal-fired plant.
The winning IPP will build, own and operate the power plant under 25-years Power Purchase Agreement, the company said.
The tender is open to local firms and foreign firms which partner with locals.
Interested bidders could obtain the document from January 15-19, 2010 at PT PLN (Persero) Wilayah Papua, Attn.Panitia Pengadaan IPP Lt 3, Jl. Ahmad yani No.18, Jayapura 99111, Papua. (alex)
