PLN opens pre-qualification for Tanjung Priok gas fired power plant extension project

FOR TANJUNG PRIOK GAS FIRED POWER PLANT EXTENSION PROJECT
The Government of Indonesia (GOI) with PT.PLN (Persero)as its executing agency has received an ODA Loan No. IP-5 15 from JBIC (Japan Bank for International Cooperation) towards the cost of the Tanjung Priok Gas Fired Power Plant Extension Project, hereinafter referred to as the Project. The Project Site is located at Tanjung Priok harbour area, approximately 10 km northeast. of central Jakarta, Indonesia.
PT. PLN (Persero) intends to prequalify Applicant(s) for the Contract for this Project. The Works under this project comprise of engineering, manufacturing, procurement, supply, shop testing, erection, installation, training, insurance, warranty, commissioning, project management for one highly efficient combined cycle power block in the range of 720 to 780 MW (GT/G:HRSG:ST/G 2:2:1). The Project consists of the installation of two (2) new gas turbine generators (GT/G) each with an electric power generation in the range of 220 - 270 MW at site conditions, two (2) new heat recovery steam generators (HRSG), and one (1) new steam turbine generator (ST/G) with an electrical power generation capacity of over 200 MW in a multi shaft arrangement, and also the modification of existing transmission line and substation.
Prequalification is open to firms, in the form of a joint Venture / Consortium / Joint Operation. Applicants that have been prequalified will be requested to prepare and submit a proposal for the Contract. A qualified firm or a qualified Joint Venture / Consortium / Joint Operation may participate in only one proposal for the Contract.
Applicants may obtain the Prequalification Document, at the address indicated below between 09:00 - 15:00 WIST, starting from February 16, 2006, upon cash payment of a non refundable fee of five million Rupiahs (Rp 5.000.000,-):

PT. PLN (Persero) reserves the right to accept or to reject late submission of applications.
