PLN opens tender for N. Sumatra power plant coal supply

State electricity firm PLN announced on Wednesday the opening of the coal supply tender for its proposed Labuhan Angin power plant in North Sumatra.

The company said inviting miners with minimum mineable resrves of 20 million tonnes with minimum CV of 4,200 Kcal/kg (AR), Total moisture below 40 percent and HGI of 44-60.

It did not say the volume of coal it wished to procure.

Tender documents would be available from July 23 to 27, the company?s announcement said.

The first unit of the 2x 115 MW power plant is scheduled top commence operation in September next year, followed by the second unit in December the same year. (alex)
