PLN opens tender for SULUT-3 coal-fired power plant project

NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR RE-PRE-QUALIFICATION
FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF
(2 X 50 MW) SULUT-3 COAL-FIRED STEAM POWER PLANT
INDEPENDENT POWER PRODUCER PROJECT
PT PLN (Persero) (?PLN?) intends to select a potential project sponsor (the ?Project Sponsor?) to develop (2 x 50 MW) Sulawesi Utara-3 Coal-Fired Steam Power Plant Independent Power Producer Projects in North Sulawesi Province. The selected Project Sponsor will develop, finance, construct and operate the Project on a BOOT basis pursuant to a long-term PPA up to 25 (twenty five) years; and finance and construct its associated 150 kV transmission line which will be transferred to PLN as a special facility.
This Re-pre-qualification is open to any interested party or parties, either domestic or foreign partnership with domestic, who have previous experience in implementing power generation projects and will be selected through a competitive bidding process from a pool of Applicants that meet the qualification criteria set forth in the Re-pro-qualification Document. The Qualification Criteria will be based on three categories which represent the Applicant?s ability to develop IPP projects, its power generation experience and its financial strength.
PLN invites interested parties to submit Re-pre-qualification Application in accordance with the criteria set forth in the Re-pre-qualification Document. Only Applicants which Qualification Statements demonstrate that they meet all of the criteria set forth in the Re-pro-qualification Document will be invited to submit bids for the Project.
Each Re-pre-qualification Applicant must demonstrate a current D&B rating of at least 5A2 or an investment grade credit rating by S&P or Moody?s or Fitch for Consortium Leader and each member other than Consortium Leader must demonstrate a current D&B rating of at least 5A3 or an investment grade credit rating by S&P or Moody?s or Fitch.
Any party who is interested in participating the procurement processes is required to register by submitting a letter of Expression of Interest and collecting the Re-pre-qualification Document on the date, time and venue stated hereunder. The late registration shall not be possible.
Re-pre-qualification Document must be collected from September 18th 2015 to September 30th 2015 at the following hours: 09.00 - 14.00 West Indonesia Standard Time after payment of a non-refundable fees in the amount of Rp 5.000.000,- (five million rupiahs) at the following address:

Companies who purchased the previous Pre-qualification Document must collect the Re-pre-qualification Document for free of charge (by showing the previous billing payment) from September 18th 2015 to September 30th 2015 at the following hours: 15.00- 16.00 West Indonesia Standard Time.
Applicants should submit to PLN, their application for the Re-pro-qualification during normal business hours at or before 15.00 West Indonesia Standard Time on or before October 22nd 2015.
